"In the heavenlies…" (Eph 1:3) http://blb.sc/2gXO Is this a place or a scope of ideas? If it is a place, how could we describe it? It is the unseen world where the risen Master is. It is where we are blessed in Him. It is the source of all the forces that rule and regulate the universe. It is where the throne of God is, and with His glory, the Master is seated at His right hand. TWO 'MINOR' PROPHETS AND THE DAY OF THE LORD

(Print)

There are twelve "minor" prophets that are yet to be really discovered by most Christians. (They are called "minor" simply because they are smaller – shorter, more terse, and concise.) Yet they contain some of the most fascinating and provocative prophecies you’ll find anywhere in the Scriptures. Here’s a glimpse of two of . . . → Read More: TWO 'MINOR' PROPHETS AND THE DAY OF THE LORD

Amos 5 presents something from a bit of a different perspective than we’re maybe used to: "Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! Why would you have the day of the Lord? It is darkness, and not light." Amos refers to the Day of the Lord as a time of terror and death. After all, the majority of Amos’ immediate audience for the book would not be fairing well when the Lord visited his people. Fortunately for us, though we deserved judgment as much as the people of Israel did (for their idolatry and oppression of the poor), the Day of the Lord has already come for us in a sense: when God’s judgment was poured out on Christ for the sake of all who believe on him. Now, when the final Day of the Lord comes, we who believe have nothing to fear (and may indeed rejoice) for judgment had already come for us and was satisfied in the blood of the Lamb. (Seth)

Do Not Despair!

Over the last few weeks at our ministry, we have had so many calls, both from men and women, sharing how they have become so discouraged and disappointed with their lives. No matter how much they pray and give things to God, the depression remains. One believer said, “it’s almost as if my . . . → Read More: Do Not Despair!

THE ABSENCE OF SIN

"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." HORATIO SPAFFORD AND THE NIGHT SEASONS

Horatio Spafford was a prominent lawyer and real estate investor in Chicago when the 1871 Chicago Fire hit and destroyed almost all of his property. Two years later, Spafford sent his wife and four daughters ahead of him to England, where his friend DL Moody would be preaching. On the voyage there, the ship sank and all four children were drowned. His wife alone was saved. The couple went on to have three more children, but tragedy struck again when their four year old son died of pneumonia in 1880. Near the end of his life, Spafford moved to Jerusalem and ran charitable ventures like soup kitchens, hospitals, and orphanages. He died in 1888 of malaria and was buried in Jerusalem. . . . → Read More: HORATIO SPAFFORD AND THE NIGHT SEASONS
